1. Taking Responsibility
“You must learn to take 100% responsibility for your life.” This was the guidance I received. Like any good victim, my knee jerk reaction was to be insulted. But my desire to understand outweighed my need to stay stuck in my stuff. Intense suffering can be very humbling when you decide to get past old patterns in favor of creating a happier life.

2. Abandon Assumptions
Language has such power.  From the standpoint of transformative philosophy one of the most  powerful words in existence is responsibility. Yet, if you look it up in a  dictionary it reads, “the state or fact of being responsible, answerable, or accountable for something within one’s power, control, or management.”

As my wisdom deepened, I came to understand accepting responsibility shows us:
1. One’s power is dependent upon no one else;
2. Within one individual is the power to transform the world;
3. Control is all about self-mastery and;
4. And management is not only for those with titles.

The definition in this highly regarded ‘reference book’ hardly seems adequate.

Please share your own experience(s) of how you transformed a situation that initially seemed beyond your control.  And if you can’t think of one, make a decision to start tackling that which you think impossible.  I am getting goosebumps just thinking about it!

Making Positive Changes – Review and Giveaway

Each day when we wake up, we have a choice to meet life head on with positive thinking. If you’re ready to find some wonderful ways to do this, then I encourage you to read “How to Go from BooHoo to WooHoo in 90 Days” by Cassandra O. James. In less than 100 pages, this author gives readers a huge array of ideas that can transform your thinking from self-pity, sadness, and helplessness to self-love, happiness and hope. I read it front to back in one afternoon and it’s full of great quotes and insights that will challenge you to become more empowered, more compassionate, and more content in life. The book reads much like a daily devotional, with each page devoted to a different subject, such as Character, Energy, Dreams, Risk, Victory, Fear, Passion, Karma and many more. I really enjoyed reading it and know I will reach for it repeatedly to use as a guide, especially on days when I’m feeling down and defeated.

I get goosebumps every time I watch this video by Jersey Boy Professor Joe Dispenza of Rutgers University.
There are no secrets in the Age of Information opportunities abound to reinvent ourselves so much so that it becomes not about can you but WILL YOU?

Did you know?

1. When you develop a daily PRACTICE of compassion or loving or success you are rewiring your mind and therefore your life toward those outcomes?
2. It only takes 90 days to begin to break old patterns of thought and overwrite them with new ones?
3. No courage is even required, habit and routine can make the difference between success and failure sometimes even life and death.

Listen to Dr. Dispenza and I double dare ya not to be inspired too, woohoo!

Three Signs of the Energy YOU are Fueling

Anger, Binge eating, Health, Relationships

Here is one of my favorite reminders that I have power over where I focus my energy.

An old Cherokee told his grandson, “My son, there is a battle between two wolves inside us all.

One is Evil. It is anger, jealousy, greed, resentment, inferiority, lies, and ego. The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness, empathy, and truth.”

The boy thought about it, and asked, “Grandfather, which wolf wins?”

The old man quietly replied, “The one you feed.” – from a Cherokee Legend

How do I know what I am fueling? You can puzzle it out by observing:
1. Are your relationships explosive?
2. Do you engage in self destructive behavior such as mutilation, binge eating or drinking?
3. Do you watch massive amounts of TV instead of being engaged in the world around you?
These are all signs of anger meaning your inner world manifesting in your behavior toward self and others.

Becoming aware is an incredible initial step to healing transformation. Although the anger may never dissipate it can become constructive rather than destructive.

Please be sure to share your thoughts, insights, and tales of triumph.  We would LOVE to hear from you.

AMAZING OPPORTUNITIES often present themselves before we think we’re ready so what is the appropriate response?

1. Never block a blessing by telling yourself no.
2. There are no life threatening ramifications to trying even if you do not succeed.
3. Revel in Life’s compassion and meet the Universe halfway by opening your heart.
4. Puzzle out why you think you are not deserving if you chose not to take a chance so you will be ready the next time.
5. It can be scary standing out from the familiar but soon your new patterns and friends will become the familiar.

GO FOR IT!

Crystal ball

Crystal ball (Photo credit: Taifighta)

Our website just went live and we are so excited about our introduction to the world!

It was only through the brilliance and support of a talented artist and friend that we could make this possible in such breakneck speed.

It is great to have the support of great people but if we do not learn to cultivate more of these kind of supportive relationships we are missing the boat. We are not born with crystal balls, we never know from where our blessings will flow. We must make a daily practice of opening our hearts, trusting that we are protected and that everyone and everything possesses the potential for benefit.

Happiness that is dependent upon circumstances is short-lived. Happiness derived from facing life’s challenges and transforming all manners of obstacles into victory makes happiness a character trait and not an elusive mood dependent upon favorable circumstances.
